Lavari Jewelers

Premium Brand Identity + Shopify Migration for Lavari Jewelers (WooCommerce to Shopify)
Project Brief
Lavari Jewelers needed a full refresh across both brand and ecommerce. Their WooCommerce site was slow, difficult to update, and frustrating to shop on mobile. Alongside the migration, the visual identity needed to feel calmer, more premium, and easier to apply consistently across digital and physical touchpoints.
This Shopify foundation was also built with system-level decisions that could be reused for their sister brand, Metro Jewelry, to keep future builds faster and more consistent.
Creative Challenge
Lavari’s previous WooCommerce site was holding the brand back. It was slow, difficult to update, and hard to shop on mobile, which made it tough to present the catalog in a way that felt premium and trustworthy. At the same time, the visual identity lacked consistency and scalability across touchpoints, so the brand needed a calmer, “quiet luxury” system that could live equally well on packaging, photography, and digital UI.
The challenge was to deliver a storefront that felt elevated and design-forward without introducing new complexity or ongoing developer dependence. That meant simplifying the shopping experience (navigation, search, product browsing, PDP structure), improving performance and accessibility fundamentals, and building a lifecycle marketing foundation so growth didn’t rely on SEO tweaks alone.
Finally, the work needed to be system-level: decisions made for Lavari had to create a reusable foundation that could later be adapted for Metro Jewelry.
Approach
- Brand identity (logo-first, quiet luxury): Designed a custom wordmark and floral-inspired submark, then extended the system into a refined “Blue Sapphire” palette, typography hierarchy, pattern assets, and photography direction.
- WooCommerce → Shopify redesign + migration: Rebuilt the storefront in Shopify with a mobile-first approach, removing performance-heavy bloat and clarifying navigation so the catalog is easier to shop, search, and manage.
- Product structure + browsing upgrades: Standardized PDP structure and used Shopify’s native strengths (filters/search, metafields, consistent templates) to improve clarity and keep the system maintainable as the catalog grows.
- Lifecycle marketing foundation (Klaviyo): Implemented Klaviyo for list growth + key automations (welcome, abandonments, review request, warranty info), including popup + footer capture with an incentive.
- System thinking for Metro: Built with reuse in mind so Metro Jewelry could leverage the same architecture and theme patterns with a brand reskin later.
Results
A faster, cleaner, premium-feeling Shopify storefront and brand system that work together across web + physical packaging. The new foundation improved the customer journey (especially on mobile), simplified ongoing site management, and established lifecycle marketing flows to support growth beyond SEO.
